Product Details
The AI011 Analog VCO is a robust and stable analog Eurorack VCO. Using the legendary curtis 3340 IC, the Oscillator provides buffered Triangle, Square, and Ramp waveforms, as well as a triangle to sine wave shaper to provide a sine wave output.
The Eurorack VCO features both Coarse and Fine tune knobs for easy tuning.
Pulse Width Modulation is normalled to the PWM input jack, so PWM is controlled with the PWM knob, and when a jack is inserted, the knob serves as an attenuator.
Volt per octave and FM input jacks are present, with an attenuator for FM modulation.
The VCO is capable of both hard and soft sync.
An expander jack is present at the rear of the module for use with future AI modules.
Kits include all parts needed to build and mount the AI011 Eurorack VCO:
- Hi Quality Aluminum Panel
- Mounting Screws
- Potentiometers
- Jacks and Nuts
- Power cable

A very good sounding VCO based on a proven IC with useful support circuitry. An enjoyable build, no confusing directions or missing info. Wave animator sold separately and really enhances available sounds. I built several and they all are easily aligned, tuned and adjustable. All documentation available from AI, like schematics, alignment procedure and a clear build guide.

Great sounding VCO and Abe’s kits are really well organized with good documentation and great support. I fully recommend any of the DIY kits from AI Synthesis.

I have built 2 of these VCOs. One of them was the very first Eurorack module I ever built. I feel like they are fairly easy to assemble. Abe provides excellent documentation and build guides. I had no issues building or getting these modules to work. These oscillators sound awesome and also track very well. Look no further if you are looking for a killer diy analog oscillator. This is the one to get.

Absolutely brilliant sounding VCO with everything you need – hard/soft sync, PWM, and FM! This was only my third build [after the Mult (001) and VCF (004)], and Abe’s instructions/videos couldn’t have made it any easier. I should note – I struggled mightily with my initial soldering on the Mult, but I reached out to Abe who quickly replied with tips and suggestions. I can’t imagine a more approachable intro to DIY and Eurorack. Thanks!
