Limited Switching Eurorack Power Distribution PCB

These were an experiment in switching power supplies for higher mA. Unfortunately, switching DC power bricks are a total gamble regarding noise, and I decided this was not a viable direction. In my latest custom case, I used these as simple passive distribution boards.

These were an experiment in switching power supplies for higher mA. Unfortunately, switching DC power bricks are a total gamble regarding noise, and I decided this was not a viable direction. In my latest custom case, I used these as simple passive distribution boards.

This is how those get wired up:

If you use it as a passive bus board, nothing else is needed except for the socket Eurorack 2x8 pin power headers.

To add LEDs you want 3 LEDs, 2 1K resistors, a 470 resistor, and two 10uF polarized caps (at least 25v tolerance).

To add 5v you'll want the above parts, two 1uF polarized caps, a 7805 regulator, and two 1N4007 diodes.

If you wanted, you could plug in two high mA DC Power Bricks, and have a super high mA power distro board, but I wouldn't advise as they are super noisy in my experience.
